Q: Can I view streaming video with Windows Media Player?
A: Yes, the streaming can be viewed with Windows Media Player. When WMP is opened press Ctrl+U and copy the following address:

- mms://tv.bs.katowice.pl:8890 - for 256kbps transmission
Q: Can I view streaming video under the Linux operating system?
A: Yes, streaming video can be viewed under Linux, e.g. with the VLC media player. The addresses to copy are:
- mmsh://tv.bs.katowice.pl:8880 - for 512kbps transmission
- mmsh://tv.bs.katowice.pl:8890 - for 256kbps transmission
Q: Can I view streaming video on
PDAs?
A: Yes, the streaming can be played on PDAs with The Core Pocket Media
Player (TCPMP) v. 0.81 or higher. The address to copy is:
- mms://tv.bs.katowice.pl:8898 - resolution 320x240 for PDAs
Q: Are the Library events transmitted live?
A: Yes. Dates of events can be checked in the Calendar of Events on the Biblioteka Śląska Website.
Q: Is there any possibility to watch past events?
A: No, currently there is no such possibility.
Q: Do you transmit all events taking place in the Silesian Library?
A: No. Some events are closed, or we have no permission to transmit them.
